Health Benefits of Hot Tub Hydrotherapy and Hydromassage
for Relaxation & Rejuvenation
The use of hydrotherapy is not a new concept. It goes back centuries to ancient Greece, but was made popular by the Roman civilization. They recognized the benefits of bathing and massage as a form of relaxation and rejuvenation.
Today we refer to this hot water rejuvenation as Hydrotherapy or Hydromassage. It consists of three elements: buoyancy, heat and massage.
Buoyancy
When you are immersed in water your body is buoyant. Your body is only about one-tenth its weight. Your muscles and ligaments are not supporting your normal weight and this relieves pressure on joints and muscles and creates the relaxing sensation of weightlessness.
Heat
Hot water stimulates your blood circulation. Immersion in hot water will raise your body temperature. This causes the blood vessels to dilate which increases circulation. It also increases your oxygen and nutrients in your blood to soothe your muscles.
Massage
Our hot tub jets work like massaging fingers to position the massage right where your body needs it. The massage action in the jets is created by sending a mixture of warm water and air through the jets. This "energized" stream of water loosens tight muscles. It also stimulates the release of endorphins, the body's natural pain killers. The conveniently located controls let you easily adjust the feel of the jets to further customize your massage so it will be in all the right places. The high-performance pumps make sure you have strong and steady water pressure at each jet.
